Hey Christy, I was just catching up on your blog. Love seeing your ideas, projects and reading your musings on life. My girls and I love going to Zeeland and checking out your area at Not So Shabby whenever we're in the neighborhood. This is an old post, so I risk making you regret something, but I say leave the wood! Like you said, it's 100 years old and in such great shape. But that's just one vote, so don't worry too much. I have 2 entire walls of built-in wood cabinetry that has yellowed over it's 40 year life and I want to sand and restain or paint it too! Since mine is 1973 vintage, I might just get up the courage to do it though. I wish you could come to my house and give me a consultation! If you're ever in Tucson...
Thanks for checking out the Room for Change blogspot. I'll be posting pictures and updates of current projects I'm working on, so be sure to stop back often. Thanks for checking in!
Christy
Things I love: cappucino,
my dog (Libby),
family, my small town,
hot baths, naps,
close neighbors,
my "round-the-town" bike.
Things I hate: waiting in line,
rude drivers, lukewarm soup,
bright yellow paint
